Programs
Community Events
As one of the University’s Interfaculty Initiatives, the Harvard University Native American Program is uniquely situated to bring together students, faculty, and staff from all parts of the University as well as friends and community members from peer schools and the surrounding Cambridge/Boston area. HUNAP offers a series of events throughout the year designed to bring together members of the community.
Our events range greatly, from informal social gatherings to our community dinners to our annual Powwow every spring. Events are designed to further the mission of our program by celebrating the spirit of community on campus and providing opportunities for attendees to develop academic, professional, and personal networks.
Colloquia
The HUNAP colloquia series was created to provide a forum for students, faculty, and staff to share their research on Native and indigenous issues, build awareness of Native perspectives throughout the University, and promote scholarly work and curriculum development at Harvard on issues relevant to Native Americans. Our colloquia topics are fluid and reflect the range of scholarship being produced by our community. Previous topics include Native health issues, Native art, federal Indian law, and Native history.

Student Resources
What Can HUNAP Do for Me?
The Harvard University Native American Program is a central resource for all students. If we cannot provide an answer to your questions, we will try to put you in touch with those who can, whatever your needs may be.
HUNAP also provides a number of direct services that can be valuable to all of our students – whether undergraduate, graduate or professional. Services range from personal and academic advising to assistance in planning events and programs.
General office resources are available to all students at the HUNAP office (14 Story Street) during regular business hours (9-5, M-F). These include computers, printers, telephones, a photocopier and a fax machine. Also, please come by and take advantage of the student workspaces, the lounge area and the library resources.
Student Groups and Organizations
Students and student organizations are at the heart of the HUNAP community. There are a number of different student organizations here at Harvard University, representing an enormous variety of interests from law to medicine to powwow dancing. All of them are open to anyone interested. A list of organizations can be found here: Native Student Organizations
